Add the butter and turn down the heat to medium. Add onion, jalapeño, and garlic, all diced. Sauté until the onions soften. Add a pinch of salt and fresh ground pepper.</p> <p>Stir in the beans and diced tomatoes. Add half the beer and the chicken stock.
